Jeff Frohner

Musical Supervisor

Jeff Frohner, a native of Lower Austria, was already active as a keyboardist and pianist in various rock/pop formations before studying at the Jazz Conservatory in Wiener Neustadt. Later, he performed on stage with artists such as Georg Danzer, Andy Baum, The Rounder Girls, Ludwig Hirsch, and Günter Mo Mokesch. Soon, he discovered his passion for musical theater and took on the preparation and musical direction of his first musicals.

In addition to composing TV jingles and commercials, he wrote the music for Peter Pan, Pinocchio, William Tell, and Torquato Tasso. His creativity found expression in his orchestral arrangements for Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame, Singin’ in the Rain, My Fair Lady, and The White Horse Inn, where he often served as conductor. As a musical supervisor, he oversaw productions of We Will Rock You in Utrecht, Oslo, Antwerp, as well as the touring production through Germany and Switzerland. Other productions included Evita, Blood Brothers, The Rocky Horror Show, The Count of Monte Cristo, Hairspray, Priscilla, Berlin-Berlin, Artus-Excalibur, The Bodyguard, Sherlock Holmes, Into the Woods, Hair, Some Like It Hot, Anything Goes, and Sweeney Todd. Most recently, he arranged and conducted a Barbra Streisand tribute concert with Maya Hakvoort at the Wiener Konzerthaus, and he serves as musical director and co-arranger for Abenteuerland – Das Musical mit den Hits von PUR at the Capitol Theater in Düsseldorf.
