Ilka Bessin

Narrator - in Berlin, Bielefeld, Oberhausen, Hanover

Born in Luckenwald, she trained as a cook and worked as a hotel manager and waitress. Later she worked as an extras supervisor and entertainer on a cruise ship.

In the early 2000s, Ilka Bessin developed the stage character Cindy aus Marzahn and became one of the most successful comedians in Germany. She was a guest and participant in countless entertainment shows such as ‘Let’s Dance’ and the ‘Quatsch Comedy Club’. She has won various TV and comedy awards with her character and works as a presenter for major TV shows. In 2016, Ilka Bessin reinvented herself by saying goodbye to her character. From then on, she appeared in public under her real name.

In 2017, she was a reporter on stern TV several times on the topic of ‘Social injustice in Germany’. In 2018, she published her own biography, went on tour for the first time in 2019 with her solo programme ‘Abgeschminkt und trotzdem lustig’ as Ilka Bessin and showed everyone that she can make people laugh and, above all, be successful without a pink jogging suit. This was followed in 2021 by her own service programme on RTL entitled ‘Echt jetzt?’. In the same year, she appeared once again in the role of her character Cindy aus Marzahn in the programme ‘RTL sagt Danke’ and announced a final show to conclude this role. This then followed in 2022 under the title ‘Die Cindy aus Marzahn Show’.

Ilka is currently touring Germany with her stage programme ‘Stupid Questions, Stupid Answers’ and is passionately committed to helping socially disadvantaged families.
