Born in 1969 in Bristol, Jon Pitt discovered his passion for music and technology early on. In 1996, he graduated from Bridgwater College in Somerset with a BTEC National Diploma in Sound Engineering. He furthered his studies at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where he graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies and a Diploma in Stage Management and Technical Arts, both with distinction.

Jon began his career as a sound engineer in London’s West End with the musical Rent. Over the next ten years, he worked on productions such as Blood Brothers, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, and Sinatra. He also frequently collaborated with Autograph Sound London. In 2008, Jon took the leap into the European touring scene with Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show. In 2009, he was hired for Hairspray in Cologne, and what began as a leap of faith became a passion! Jon was again responsible for the sound design of The Rocky Horror Show in 2011 and 2014. Between 2011 and 2014, he also worked as a programmer and mixer for productions including the Bad Hersfelder Festspiele and the musical Ich war noch niemals in New York.
