Martin Böhm/Ludwig Coss (MG-SOUND Vienna)

Musical Arrangements

Founded in Vienna in 1990 by Martin Böhm and Ludwig Coss, MG-SOUND has grown into one of the most prominent recording studios worldwide. Their success is primarily due to their commitment to offering technical and creative all-round solutions rather than specializing in a narrow market segment. Renowned artists such as U2, Pearl Jam, Celine Dion, The Rolling Stones, and Queen have worked with them, as have opera legends José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, Edita Gruberova, and Anna Netrebko. Even film composer Hans Zimmer relies on MG-SOUND for orchestral recordings.

The international prestige of the studio is reflected in their invitation to join the World Studio Group, which annually ranks the 25 best recording studios in the world. Since 2000, MG-SOUND has operated the “HitSquad” label, releasing musical recordings in collaboration with Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, including the platinum-selling Elisabeth musical DVD. They also established their own distribution network in Austria, MG-SOUND Music Supply.

As a full-service studio, MG-SOUND works with nearly all major advertising agencies and has been recognized with awards, including three Gold Awards from the New York Festivals, six Cannes Shortlist entries, and accolades from the German Art Directors Club. Multimedia installations and events form another important segment of their services.
