Matthias Jahner

After studying at the Amsterdam University of the Arts, Matthias Jahner moved to Cologne and has been a vital part of the Cologne music scene for 30 years. He has contributed to numerous musical productions, including Bodyguard, Hairspray, Dirty Dancing, Sister Act, Ich war noch niemals in New York, CATS, Bat Out of Hell, and Moulin Rouge, to name just a few.

 

As a film and television composer, he wrote the music for the series “Löwenzahn” and “Unter Uns” and scored various documentaries, such as “Karl der Große”, as well as feature films like “Was ich von ihr weiß” and “Ein Baby für dich”.

 

As a versatile saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, Matthias Jahner is a member of several bands, tours with well-known artists like Harpo, and has participated in numerous theater productions, including Chicago (Oper Bonn) and The Producers (Stadttheater Hagen).
